Inflammation isn't the enemy — until it can't stop

You sprain your ankle — it swells. Your throat gets infected — it turns red and sore. Your instinct is that something has gone wrong.
But those responses are inflammation doing exactly what it's designed to do. Swelling, redness, heat, pain — these are signs your body is actively working to repair damage and fight off threats.
