Skin cells complete in three to five days what normally takes twenty-eight days, piling up into the visible silvery-white scales.

Its systemic inflammation simultaneously raises risks of cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, depression, and joint disease (psoriatic arthritis, affecting approximately thirty percent of patients).
